It’s expected the creative offering of one of Clare’s cultural capitals will be enhanced following its inclusion in a nationwide scheme.
The Clare Arts Office has been successful in its application to the Arts Council to have Shannon remain one of its 19 Creative Places across the country.

The Creative Places programme was established in 2019 to allow local areas to develop arts programmes, with Shannon serving as one of its research and development towns.
Clare Arts Officer Siobhán Mulcahy says it’ll create opportunities for investment in Shannon-based artists and creative projects.
