A decision on whether or not Shannon Airport Workers will down tools over the impending separation from the DAA should be known later this week.

SIPTU is balloting around 200 members at the Mid West Airport for possible industrial action amid concerns over the plans which will see Shannon flying solo.
Yesterday the government’s proposals moved a step closer after an order allowing the separation of Shannon Airport from the DAA on December 31st was passed through the Dáil
The result of the SIPTU ballot is due Friday.
