The organisers of a Clare St Patrick’s Day Parade have hit back at online trolls over viral criticism of a promotional image for the event.
It’s after an AI generated graphic featuring the flags of Ukraine, Phillippines, the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Austria, Brazil, Poland and Ireland with the tagline of ‘Celebrate the Cultures of Shannon’ was used to advertise the town’s parade, and met intense backlash on social media.

The Shannon Community Partnership has since released a statement, saying it won’t be intimidated or distracted by a small group of online bullies.
Acting Chairperson Don O’Sullivan says the comments will not phase them.
