A Clare Fine Gael Senator says he’s ‘100%’ confident that private companies will take advantage of the government’s aviation incentive package to develop hangars at Shannon Airport.
Shannon Senator Tony Mulcahy also says he’s hopeful that construction of the new facilities could begin within the next year.
During the Budget, Finance Minister Michael Noonan announced an aviation capital allowance scheme in a bid to speed up the construction of three large hangars at Shannon which he regards as crucial for the airport’s growth.
