2,000 runners will pound the runway of Shannon Airport in a near-unique event tonight.
There will be a midnight start for the Bank of Ireland Runway Night Run, provided there are no late arriving planes.

This year's entry is nearly double that of last year's inaugural event.
Proceeds from tonight's event go to Shannon's chosen charities for 2015, namely TLC4CF and Milford Care Centre in Limerick
