The local community in Shannon is being urged to share their views on plans for the redevelopment of the town.
A public consultation process is underway on the Draft Shannon Town Masterplan which was unveiled to the public last month and the closing date for feedback has been pushed back by a week to Friday, August 28th.

The plan aims to provide more housing, a more varied retail offering and new amenities to support healthier lifestyles.
It’s the third plan in thirteen years and Chairman of the newly formed Love Shannon Community Council, Derek Clune says while there’s some scepticism locally that this will be third time lucky he believes the future of the town is at stake.
