A Shannon recruitment agent says a local accommodation drought has lead to the recent lack of job recruitment.
The latest Morgan McKinley Quarterly Employment Monitor found there was an almost 17% drop in job opportunities in Ireland in September.

The figures also revealed a drop of over a third in permanent positions compared to the third quarter last year, while contract jobs fell by 8%.
Director and Co-Founder of CareerWise Recruitment in Shannon, Joe Robbins, believes the main problems in employment are specialised skill shortages and accommodation.
