A US Airways flight from Shannon Airport has been forced to land in Philadelphia because of an unspecified threat.
An FBI official says Flight 777 from Shannon made the emergency landing after a threat was phoned in. It was due to land in Philadelphia at 2:05 p.m. local time, but touched down seven minutes earlier.

Passengers have disembarked from the plane, and they and their baggage are being screened and searched by FBI and Philadelphia Police.
