Passenger numbers at Shannon Airport were up last month, despite a drop in the number of flights there.

The number of passengers which flew to and from the airport was up 5%, and this included an 18% rise on vital transatlantic services and 15% on European flights.
This is despite separate figures from the Irish Aviation Authority, which show the total number of flights was down 15%, at 56 commercial movements a day.
This follows the withdrawal of Stobart Air Services at the beginning of the year, although they'll return next week with flights to Birmingham.
