The Mayor of Shannon says people in the town are optimistic about the future of it’s airport.
Councillor Mike Fleming has made the comments after a week which saw the appointment of a new CEO, Neil Pakey, and also the launch of it’s latest new route.

US Airways will be operating daily return flights between Shannon and Philadelphia until September, potentially bringing over 35000 passengers through the airport.
