A Shannon man is preparing to take part in a mammoth fundraising task today.
Kieran McCarthy will swim 3 kilometres in Shannon Pool this evening, before cycling over 220 kilometres to Dublin overnight where he will then take part in the Dublin marathon.

Moneys raised will go to Clare Crusaders and TLC4CF – Kieran’s 3-year-old daughter Aoibheann was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis last year.
