A Shannon Heritage employee is making fresh calls for them not to be forgotten about amid delays in transferring its sites to the management of Clare County Council.
The local authority told the Government back in February it needs a multi-million euro commitment from to take control of the operations of Knappgoue Castle, Craggaunowen and Bunratty Castle & Folk Park from Shannon Group.
However, that’s not yet come to fruition, with negotiations between the Council and the Department of Transport and the Department of Local Government having been ongoing for months.
Dolores Marron, who’s a member of the SIPTU workers’ committee and a spokesperson for Shannon Heritage employees, feels they’re in danger of being forgotten about.
