Joe Carey, Timmy Dooley, Michael Harty, Andre Hakizimana, Dermot Mulqueen and Niamh O'Brien have been debating the issues ahead of polling day on February 26th.

With just over a week to go to polling day, Clare's candidates have been debating some of the issues affecting people in this county.

Six candidates took part in the third of Clare FM's live election debates on today's edition of Morning Focus, with Healthcare to the fore of the issues discussed.

Fís Nua Candidate Niamh O'Brien says the Health system has let people down and that management and administrative staff within the country's hospital should be held to account.

Outgoing Fine Gael TD Joe Carey believes that Ennis General Hospital and St John's in Limerick need to be utilised in order to deal with the overcrowding crisis and he says the medical community need to play a better role.

But Independent Candidate Michael Harty has described his comments as "outrageous", saying the Government funding is not personal income.
