A Shannon hackney driver says he and others in his profession now have a ‘reduced standard of living’ due to ongoing rising fuel costs.
It comes amid warnings that prices at the pumps are set to continue to increase amid ongoing pressures as a result of the war in Ukraine.

Both petrol and diesel are once again nearing two euro a litre despite a cut in excise duty implemented by the Government back in March.
Sean McLoughlin, who’s a hackney driver based in Shannon, says he’s tried to keep prices as low as possible on account of international tourists returning to Clare this summer.
