The CEO of Shannon Group predicts that Clare will benefit from an €80 million new medical manufacturing facility in the Mid West, regardless of where it’s built.
Medical equipment firm Edward Lifesciences has already begun recruitment for an initial 60 jobs in the Shannon Free Zone and will install a purpose-built manufacturing facility in the coming years.
That will see a total of 600 jobs coming to the Mid West by 2020 though the location for the new plant has not been finalised.
