The position of the Chair of Shannon Group is to be re-advertised again.
The Department of Transport has confirmed it’s engaging with the Public Appointments Service to begin the recruitment process for the role once more.

It comes after many of Clare’s Oireachtas representatives have called for clarity on the vacant position, with the group having been without a permanent chair since arose Hynes’ tenure ended back in August.
Deputy Joe Carey has confirmed the move after contact with the Department, which says it will establish dates and a timeline for the full completion of the recruitment process for the role ‘in the very near future’.
