The CEO of Shannon Group has described connectivity to France as another “win” for the region.
It comes as Ryanair has announced a new twice-weekly service from Shannon Airport to Marseille, France’s second-largest city.
This is the second new route announcement for Shannon Airport in under three weeks, and comes on the back of confirmation of Ryanair’s Barcelona-Girona service, which lifts off later this month.
The twice-weekly service to Marseille, which is part of the airline’s summer schedule, commences on May 4th and runs until October 29th.
The service promises to bring passengers directly to the southern coast of France connecting them with popular areas such as Toulon, St Tropez, Cannes and Monaco.
The CEO of Shannon Group has welcomed the news saying connectivity to France is another win for the region.
In a statement to Clare FM, Mary Considine says they know that restoring connectivity is important to customers and that they’ve been working hard with airline partners to create exciting holiday opportunities.
The addition of Marseille means that Shannon Airport will now connect passengers to 22 destinations with Ryanair.
