Over 400 Christmas meals will be delivered to the homes of senior citizens next week by Gardaí based in Shannon.
As part of their now annual festive initiative, local Gardaí will be teaming up with Shannon College of Hotel Management to bring festive cheer to local residents, who otherwise might miss out, as the party season gets underway.

The initiative was born out of the Covid pandemic, with registration for this years deliveries open until tomorrow Wednesday the December 4th.
Garda Lorraine Quain, says its an important service for those who may not otherwise have a Christmas dinner, while providing them with valuable social interaction.
