Shannon Gardaí are aiming to increase their presence in the town’s neighbourhoods and engage more with people on the ground.
A public meeting is being held in the Oakwood Hotel there tonight at 7pm, which will focus on neighbourhood watch schemes in particular.
Crime prevention will be the main focus of the evening and Gardaí are particularly eager to hear from people who are interested in setting up or joining an existing neighbourhood watch programme.
