Ireland will likely have floating off-shore wind farms – rather than fixed facilities.
Due to the depth of the sea off the coast of Ireland it will be easier for developers to float the wind farms, and it will make it easier for the planning phase.

It comes as the Environment Minister announced a scheme yesterday to only allow the most viable developments go forward to planning with An Bord Pleanala.
