Shannon Estuary Taskforce Chair Says Shovel Ready Sites Needed In Clare To Maximise Green Energy Economy

The Chair of the Shannon Estuary Economic Taskforce claims shovel ready sites must be provided in Clare now, to attract green industry down the line.

The Department of Enterprise has published it’s first progress update on the taskforce’s renewable energy recommendations, which includes an industrial strategy for off-shore wind.

The Shannon Estuary plan itself is aiming to create 10,000 jobs and achieve net zero status in the region by 2035.
