Dozens of new jobs are being created at the Skycourt Shopping Centre with the opening of four new businesses.
The largest of the new tenants to take up residency in the shopping centre is Darcy’s – a bar and restaurant. It is occupying the premises which was formally Murphy Browns. While the bar is now operating, the restaurant will be up and running later this month with the creation of 30 jobs.
A further five jobs will come on stream with the opening of a new furniture and toy store by local company Treasure Chest

There’s also expected to be further new positions created with the opening of a 40 seater ethnic restaurant Saffron Indian Cuisine and Shannon’s first dedicated ladies underway and swimwear outlet … Love-Action.
Skycourt manager Pat Kelly says the new additions represent the most important vote of confidence in Clare’s second largest town and with retail units coming under increased pressure; it really bucks the recession trend.
