Established almost 70 years ago, Shannon Duty Free was the brainchild of Dr Brendan O’Regan, and began with Ms. Kitty Downes running a small kiosk in the terminal building selling souvenirs, Irish linen and locally produced goods.
Formerly known as the Loop under the Dublin Airport Authority, it's now going back to the original name of Shannon Duty Free which was the world's first and longest-running running Duty Free Shop.
