Shannon Doc insists it’s prepared for an expected surge in patients this Christmas.
The urgent out of hours GP service has confirmed it will be increasing its staffing complement by 20% to cope with the seasonal demand.

On top of its regular hours, Shannon Doc’s Clare centres will be operating 24 hours on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, St.Stephen’s Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
CEO Peter Clarke says a contingency plan is also in place if required.
