The Shannon Municipal District Council is calling for answers on the sale of part of Shannon Group's property portfolio.

It comes as one local Councillor has hit out at purported plans to offload commercial units in Ballycasey and Smithstown.
Gerry Flynn says around 50 people employed in Ballycasey have become concerned over the future of their jobs.
The independent councillor fears that the sale of these assets will impact on job creation in the area.
