A Shannon Councillor says renters in the locality are ‘crying’ with worry over the prospect of the ending of the eviction ban.
The Government’s confirmed a decision will be made on whether to extend it before the St Patrick’s Day recess.
Ministers are believed to have concerns surrounding the legality of an extension, though the opposition insist it’s required given the lack of private rented properties available in Clare and elsewhere.
