A Shannon Councillor has described the county's dog fouling problem as "dangerous".

Gerry Flynn is calling on Clare County Council to role out a similar initiative to its counterparts in Limerick aimed at creating awareness about the problem.
The independent Councillor believes dog fouling remains a seruos problem and may be making peopel reluctant to get out and walk.
Councillor Flynn says the problem is at best frustrating and at worst dangerous.
