Shannon Chamber is pushing for supports to help with the roll-out of high speed broadband to rural areas in next week's budget.

The local business lobby group is calling on the government to support the MidWest next week, and has echoed the calls of others that this region could act as a counterbalance to growth in Dublin.
They say the M20 Cork-Limerick motorway needs to be completed, as well as improved access to Foynes Port, no increase in the cost of diesel and a review of business rates nationally.
Shannon Chamber Chief Executive Helen Downes also believes broadband could be transformative.
