Shannon Chamber has called on the Government to ‘reinforce its commitment’ to balanced regional development by investing in Shannon and the wider Mid-West region.
Its pre-budget submission has called for Government to make major investments in the town to boost housing supply, improve transport infrastructure and support the shift to renewable energy.
The proposal also calls for investment in Shannon Airport by increasing regional airports funding and establishing a routes development fund for the Mid-West base.
Shannon Chamber President, Helen Downes, says supporting the town’s economy will help drive growth nationwide.
