Shannon's CEO has suggested that they may seek outside funding as part of efforts to enhance their tourist products.

The Shannon Group company that includes the Airport also oversees Shannon Heritage, which operates sites throughout Ireland including Craggaunowen, Knappogue Castle the soon-to-open Easter Rising Commemorative Centre at Dublin's GPO.
Its flagship attraction remains Bunratty Folk Park and Castle, which Neil Pakey feels can become a "best in class" attraction in Ireland and in Europe.
He says they're also looking to address under-investment across the group in recent years, but admits this may require some outside investments
