Shannon-Based Active Retirement Secretary Says Pensioners ‘Despondent’ About Rising Prices

The Shannon-based Secretary of Active Retirement Ireland says pensioners are ‘despondent’ about rising energy prices.

SSE Airtricity is the latest company to announce an increase, with their average bill rising by a further nine percent from December.

The State pension and the fuel allowance payments were each raised by five euro in Budget 2022.
