Shannon Airport’s intake of PPE during lockdown will be featured in a special TV documentary tonight.
The AN 225, the world’s largest plane, delivered almost 900,000 medical gowns to the airport in June for distribution to hospitals around the country.
The cargo represented the largest consignment of personal protective equipment delivered to Ireland during the COVID-19 pandemic so far.
