Positive Outlook For Shannon In 2020

Around 70,000 passengers are expected through Shannon Airport this Christmas period.

The figure, which is roughly on par with the same period last year, comes following a difficult year for the Midwest Facility.

Concern has been raised over a drop in footfall through the airport, following the global grounding of the Boeing 737 Max Jet this year, resulting in an estimated 60 million euro loss for the Midwest economy.

But 120,000 passengers in total will have passed through Shannon across the month of December and Managing Director, Andrew Murphy has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that the outlook for next year is positive.
