Shannon Airport Worth Almost €1 Billion Annually To Economy

A government report has revealed that Shannon Airport generates close to a billion euro for the Irish economy each year.

The Oireachtas profile of Irish airports says the economic impact of the MidWest facility is in the region of €983 million annually, while 13,600 people are employed directly or indirectly as a result.

London Heathrow continues to be the most popular destination from Shannon, with Stansted and JFK in New York also driving up passenger numbers.
