Shannon Airport Working With Gardai To Minimise Strike Impact

Authorities in Shannon say they will liase with the Gardai to minimise the impact of upcoming industrial action on the airport.

The GRA and AGSI are due to withdraw labour on four days in November, which is feared could impact on the provision of security at the airport's immigration unit, which if closed, would shut down the entire facility.

In a statement to Clare FM, airport authorities say they are engaging with local Garda Management on a daily basis to minimise the effect of the proposed work stoppage on flight arrivals at Shannon.
