Shannon Airport is asking the Government to “accelerate the development” of a new national aviation policy.
The Clare base is currently ineligible for the Regional Airports Programme which supports airports carrying up to one million passengers a year.

Speaking to Clare FM last month, Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien said he was “reviewing the regional airports support plan” with a view to including Shannon.
Shannon Airport Group CEO Mary Considine says more action is required at Government level.
