As part of efforts to further boost traffic at Shannon, Clare's international airport is to be rebranded.
Shannon CEO Neil Pakey oversaw a huge growth at Liverpool Airport during his time there, a process which included re-naming it to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

He's now told Clare FM that he is looking to bring the same touch to Shannon, by renaming the facility in honour of Clare's All-Ireland winning manager Davy Fitzgerald.
He also wished the people of Clare a happy April Fool's Day!
