Passenger traffic at Shannon Airport saw a notable increase during the summer.
Over 755,000 passed through the gates of the Clare base across June, July and August, representing a 16% increase compared to the same stretch of 2024.

It follows the airport’s record-breaking performance in the period of April to June of this year when 650,000 passengers travelled through the facility which was up 11% on the previous year.
Airport Director at Shannon Airport, Niall Kearns says the “sustained growth in its route portfolio and passenger numbers, together with continued investment in infrastructure and its multi award-winning customer experience, ensures that Shannon Airport remains a vital gateway”.
