The Shannon Airport Group has hailed its new Sustainability Strategy as ambitious, but achievable.
Among the initiatives are developing renewable energy across the Shannon campus, as well as a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by over 50% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050.

It also looks to increase electric vehicle charging stations across the campus and transitioning Airport vehicle fleet to low emission vehicles.
The Shannon Airport’s Group’s Head of Sustainability, Sinéad Murphy says significant work has been carried out over the past year to develop the plans.
