The chairman of the Shannon Airport Authority says the government’s commitment to draft legislation on it’s future is key as they seek to attract major employers.

A Bill providing for the creation of a new company, Shannon Group, with the Shannon Airport Authority and a re-named Shannon Development as it’s subsidiaries, is being drafted at present after getting the go-ahead from Cabinet this week.
It will come before the Houses of the Oireachtas in the Autumn and should become law by the end of the year.
Chair of the Airport Authority Rose Hynes has told Clare FM that she feels this is a big boost to Shannon.
