Shannon Active Retirement Rep Labels CMO Covid Advice To Older People ‘Unrealistic’

A Shannon-based representative for Active Retirement Ireland has labelled advice from the Chief Medical Officer to older people this week as ‘unrealistic’.

Breda Smyth has written an open letter urging the elderly to get back to socialising, three years after the first Covid lockdown was implemented.

Professor Smyth believes some older people are ‘apprehensive’ about getting out and about following the pandemic.
