The Mayor of Clare says a “shadow has been cast” over Killaloe, following the death of a young man in Lough Derg.
A young man, named locally as Wassiou Ayawe, a young footballer from Limerick city, died after a jet ski he was travelling on with two girls, overturned at “Between the Waters”, south of Killaloe Bridge last evening.
