Seven Clare Restaurants Honoured With Food Oscars

Seven restaurants in Clare have been honoured with prestigeous awards at Ireland's Food Oscars.

Over 500 restaurant owners and staff celebrated their hard work and achievements at the Munster Regional Finals of the Irish Restaurant Awards, which have been held in Kilarney.

Now in it's eighth year, The Irish Restaurant Awards have become Ireland's biggest food awards with over 70,000 individual nominations cast across fourteen categories.

Lisdoonvarna scooped two awards with The Wild Honey Inn named as the county's Best Restaurant, while The Roadside Tavern has been honoured as the Best Gastro Pub in Clare.

L'Arco Italian Restaurant in Ballyvaughan has been awarded "Best Casual Dining" for the fifth year in a row.

The winner of Best Hotel Restaurant in the county was the Dining Room at Gregans Castle Hotel, who's chef David Hurley has been named as Best Chef.

In Ennis, The Rowan Tree Café Bar has been named Clare's best café, while Brogan's Restaurant is the county's Best Newcomer.

And, Moy House in Lahinch was presented with the first award of the night for Customer Service.
