Separate Garda investigations are underway following assaults in three areas of Clare.
The incidents happened in Killaloe, Corofin and just outside Ennis in the past week.
Emergency services were alerted at around 1am last Friday after a man in his 50s was assaulted outside a licensed premises in Killaloe.
The man’s keys were stolen from him, allowing the offender to steal his car.
The victim was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment for a head injury.
At around 3am, the man’s car was recovered by Gardaí on the M7 at Birdhill, and one man was subsequently arrested.
Separately, witnesses are being sought following an assault on Main Street in Corofin at around midnight last Thursday.
A man in his 30s sustained minor injuries in the incident.
Meanwhile, Gardaí in Ennis are investigating an assault at Ballyalla Lake between 1pm and 2pm last Wednesday.
It’s understood a number of youths were throwing stones at people using the lakeside area.
There have been no reports of any serious injuries.
