Separate Garda investigations are underway following three attempted car thefts in Ennis over the past week.
The barrel of the ignition in a car parked on Barrack Street was broken at around 2.30am on Tuesday last, but the culprit failed to start the vehicle.
A woman was seen in the area at the time.
Separately, at around 9pm that evening, the window of a car parked at Millhouse Apartments was broken and the ignition was damaged, but the car was not taken after an immobiliser prevented it from being started.
Meanwhile, one person has been arrested and will be dealt with under the Juvenile Liaison System following a report of an attempted unauthorised taking of a car on the Mill Road at around 6.30am last Saturday morning.
On arrival, gardaí met a youth who had in his possession implements used to interfere with the mechanism of a car.
