A Clare man convicted of the defilement of a teenage girl who he claimed was in an arranged marriage with him is due to be sentenced today.

The 22 year old who can’t be named for legal reasons denies the crime which occurred at a guest house in Ennis in July 2010.
A jury of seven men and five women took just under four hours last week to find the Clare accused guilty of defilement – following the trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
