A formal announcement on plans for an independent Shannon Airport is expected to be revealed within days.

It had been expected that a briefing on the proposals would be held today following yesterday’s Cabinet briefing on the proposed separation – however the Transport Minister says a number of issues still need to be ironed out.
Minister Varadkar insists there wont be a long delay – a view reiterated by Clare Senator Martin Conway in the Seanad earlier today.
