A portion of Clare's busiest road is to close from tonight to allow for urgent remedial repairs.

The northbound half of the M18 motorway between Crusheen and Gort will shut from midnight, and is expected to remain closed until midnight on Thursday.
A series of works aimed at resolving issues with drainage on the road were carried out two weeks ago, and the NRA has told Clare FM that corrective action is required after this was assessed.
Traffic will be diverted from the M18 at Junction 15 Crusheen, along the R458 to Gort for the duration of the closure.
