A second opinion poll in as many days shows a surge in support for Seán Gallagher in the Presidential race.
The RED C Survey for Paddy Power also shows a drop in support for Fine Gael’s Gay Mitchell.
This poll was carried out in the past three days – some people surveyed after the TV3 debate.
And as all RED C polls use the same methodology it is comparable to the last Sunday Business Post Poll 11 days ago.
Labour’s Michael D Higgins goes up 7 points to 25%.
Seán Gallagher has almost doubled his support – going up 10 points to 21%.
And both candidates do very well on transfers.
Martin McGuinness is in third place, remaining on 16%. But a third of the electorate want him least to be President.
David Norris’ support drops 7% to 14, having being the one to beat 11 days ago.
Gay Mitchell drops 3 points to 10%, in fifth place – slightly better than his second last place in today’s Irish Times Poll.
But he secures just 15% of the Fine Gael vote, with Gallagher and Higgins actually securing 25% and 27% of that party’s vote.
Mary Davis drops 3 points to 9, while Dana Scallon drops 1 to 5.
