Searches are due to resume today for a body off the coast of Clare.
Emergency services were alerted on Saturday after the body was spotted in the sea below the Cliffs of Moher.
The alarm was raised around 3.30 on Saturday afternoon after a body was spotted in the water below the Cliffs of Moher.
Gardaí and the Irish Coast Guard were dispatched to the scene and a search operation was quickly mounted.
Weather conditions prevented the Coast Guard from launching their boats and efforts to locate the body were unsuccessful.
The Shannon based Irish Coast Guard helicopter, Rescue 115, carried out sweeps of the area on Saturday and again yesterday, while the Aran Islands RNLI lifeboat also joined in the search effort.
Members of Doolin Coast Guard are expected to resume their operation today.
